I got a history lesson for Sen John Kerry. In 1971 he gave a speech agenst the Vietnam war (WOW now that really reveals my age does it not?)Well, anyway there was no doupt that many agreed and there was also no question about the freedom of speech under the Constitution.  Now, Sen Kerry is saying that he does not want the press to give the Tea Party "equal time"? He wants them to shut up? HmmmmmTHAT sure sounds like "Imperialism" to me!! How is it that this one time champion of liberal thought is avocating censorship of his fellow Americans?What IS wrong with this picture? I will tell you presicely what is wrong. Kerry and his crowd champion "free speech" when it advances their liberal adgenda BUT when people start to stand up and speak out (especially agenst overbord spending) the attack retoric starts flowing. Is it any wonder that the liberal crowd are just fuming because of the results of last years mid term elections? The Tea Party was and  STILL is a powerful voice for fascal reponcibility and good old fashioned COMMON SENSE! For the most part the voices of the conserns of the American people were ignored by the "elites" in Washington. The result was the shellacking on election day. Now we see and hear these statements tring to selence voices like the Tea Party. Sorry--Sen John Kerry--the free speech rights that you and your fellow "anti-war' protesters so enjoyed during the Veitnam era are still here today and the Tea Party has every right under the CONSTITUTION to speak agenst the out of controll spending that is bankrupting this Nation. ....Power to the PEOPLE.

The GOP debate on CNN went on without a hitch last night. The contenders came out swinging -hitting hard on President Barack Obama's failed polices.Newt nailed a good few points and I even agreed with Ron Paul on most of his positions. The announcement of Rep Michelle Bachmann that she was in the fight to save this nation was especially welcome!Now, we come to the day after the debate and what does CNN-the CLUELESS News Network do? Instead of highlighting the contenders and the issues at hand they bring on the former house speaker "glibby" Gibbs to criticize them! I would be still laughing right now but what is happening to America is NO laughing matter. Make no mistake about it...this nation under the failed disasterous leadership of the Democrats is on the very brink of collapse. We are facing a National defict of over 14 TRILLION and congress debates about the dept ceiling. Did not a certain senator say that raising the dept ceiling was a "leadership failure"?Hmmmm.The GOP contenders tackled the issues and drove home the point the American people were saying for a long time--NO MORE BIG BROTHER!!The elections of last November proved this. It is not too late to return to fascal responcibility and good old fashioned common sense..that was shown in New Hamshere on Monday. Maybe CNN can get a clue.... it was on their network. Now, if you excuse me I'm tuning to the Foxnews comments!

After every tragic event answers are sought and leadership is needed. In her facebook video Fmr Alaska Gov Sarah Palin provides both. The horrific act of sensless violence that happened in Tucson was committed by a deranged loner and almost immeditely the press began to pass their judgments. As Palin pointed out in her facbook video  this was done by a single "evil" man .To  accuse ANYONE other than the one who acually committed this henious act is not only blood libel but a reprehensible smear. It is no wonder that so many just do not trust the "news" media anymore. I do remember a certain ad that featured Arizona canidate J D Hayworth is the crosshairs of a sniper rifle--Hmmmmmm now I wonder what political party did that? OH yes I remember...it was a DEMOCRATIC party political ad!!!---cover THAT one "news" media--I DARE you!!From what we already know about the shooter is he was a loner and he had a beef with his school because he got a "B". He was booted out of his class and also among his favorite literature was the communist manefesto as well as Hitlers Mein Kempf (there are a couple of clues for you Sherlocks in the  press) The horrific tragic act of violence in Tuscon targeted both Democrat and Rebuplican as well as a precious 9 year old girl who was born on 9/11. All Americans are by this tragic event. In her facebook video  Palin talks about the American spirit-the courage that comes forth enabling us to stand NO MATTER what fear tries to intimate us with. This courage congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords is showing on her --as the doctors say--miraculous recovery. Yes, I do believe in miracles-and in thecourageous AMERICAN  spirit that Palin spoke of. In that spirit we can truly be united as a free people and as free Americans.

I am taking a break from my normal reporting on national politics to wish all at Townhall(and beyond) the very BEST of this Holiday season!!! I will be spending Thanksgiving here and then off to Coloado!!After that it will be back to the Buckeye state for an old fashoned Christmas in Cleveland!!We have so much to be thankful for in this country ( and note to the ACLU---Thanksgiving became a National holiday to give thanks to GOD--not the indians!)We have freedoms in America that that many outside our borders only dream about. When the founding fathers of this Constitutional Republic got to together and signed that piece of paper in 1776 they knew good and well where our freedoms came from. We just had a national election and I am here to say that I am THANKFUL we have the freedom to choose (there I go getting political--can't help it) Well, anyway I want to --again--wish each and every one a blessful holiday season!! The new year will be here before we know it--with it --new challenges to face. I am confedent with God's help we can not only FACE these new challenges--but OVERCOME!!Happt Holidays everyone!! There's a NEW speaker in the HOUSE!!!(from OHIO!) The words of Donald Trump never sounded so good as they do NOW! It is also the same message from the American PEOPLE to (former) house speaker Nancy Pelosi.That message is; Nancy Pelosi... YOU'RE FIRED!!!Make no mistake the American people have had it up to their EARS with the arrogance, excessive taxes, and the loss of our Constitutional freedoms under the Democrats. For many in America the last straw was Obamacare. This 2,000 page RAW DEAL was crafted behind closed doors and then RAMMED thrugh congress. Apparently the Democrat controlled congress thought that over 60% of America that opposed this monster legislation did not matter. They also must of thought that building Big Government was more important than building America!. It is NOW more than apparent that their thinking was very WRONG!!Republican John Boehner is now the NEW speaker of the house and the American PEOPLE chose  so!!Now We got to get Obamacare REPEALED and really work to get America back on track to TRUE freedom and prosperity!!!This is a NEW biginning for America! YES, the giant is AWAKE, making choices , and the government big-wigs are on notice!! I could go on here but the point has been made AND it was made by the AMERICAN PEOPLE!!-----ON to 2012!!!!!!!!

 When Joyce Ferrara in Clark County Navada went to vote for Republican Sharon Angle ---guess whos name was ALREADY checked?? You guessed it "dingy" Harry Reid!!! Reports are coming in from all over of such "mistakes". It is NOT just an isolated case. I agree with Joyce--"somethings not right". Because it happened to her SEVERAL TIMES!!If this smells bad--read on it gets worse. The 9th court of appeals struck down the part in Arizonas law that said you had to prove you are a US citizen before you can vote. WHAT IS HAPPENING???Just try to buy a 6-pack or try to get money from your account --do they not require identification?? If this is going on NOW with just days before election day --what of November 2nd? If there was ever a time to "hit our knees" for America and our precious freedoms--it is NOW. These elections are a turning point--one way or the other--to freedom or socialist SLAVERY!!.It will be ether our Constitution or the whims of big-wigs that have nothing to counter their grand power plays.The news of the situation Joyce Ferrara is facing should sound the alarm nationwide!!America is STILL FREE---and after over 200 years of FREEDOM--America is just to YOUNG to DIE!!...VOTE and WATCH.

David Axelrod...WHY do I enjoy writing about him? Mainly because everytme he opens his mouth he reveals how deluded he and his fellow Democrats are. Do you need an example? Just this sunday on meet the press when David Gregory confronted him on Obamacare he had this to say :" I think health care over time  will become  more popular" more popular???? HELLO!!! over 60% of Americans opposed this RAW DEAL and the Democrat controlled   congress still  rammed it down owr throats!20 states have already lined up to challenge Obamacare with its UNCONSTITUTIONAL indavidual mandate and the tax increases that go with it. The Democrats are in  deep DO-DO and it is because of their own actions and a refusal to serve the American people.Even now there is much talk about the econony---WHY NOW? Why was'nt this the priority when the Democrats took over in 2006?? All they did was to push a Big Brother adgenda that futher imperils our freedoms and our Constitutional Republic.All this talk on the econimy now is too little too late for the Democrats. Reality is looming up like a brick wall...it's called the mid-term elections!! America has both seen and heard ENOUGH!! By their own ligislative  actions the Democrats have sent their Big-Government tax and controll message. Well, This November it will be OUR turn to send a message of our OWN!!!!......Remember..Remember..WE VOTE! in November!!!.....CLEAN HOUSE! 2010!!!

Hey Washington...can you hear us NOW? If anyone doupts the TEA party movement I have two states for you--Utah and Kentucky!Also if any politician is thinking that they can get away with voting agnenst what the American people want...think again (would'nt you agree Bob Bennett?) This past tuesday the TEA party favorite Rand Paul(son of Ron Paul) stomped GOP rival Tret Greyson who was endorsed by Mitch McConnell. This victory shows ..AGAIN ...that it is still WE the PEOPLE..not US the party who call the shots. The Democrats are already realling from the elections in Virginia,New Jersey and Massachusetts. The message is clear!! like the song says "we ain't gonna TAKE IT anymore"!! We have an Democrat party led out of control spending government that has pushed this nation to the very edge of the bankrupcy abyss! furthermore, under Obammacare the taxes and spending is only to increase!!Is this nation going to end up like Greece?I am convinced that this election year is a turning point. What we do THIS year will have effects for generations to come. It is NOT about "anti-incombant" It is about saving this nation before it is too late. Yes, Americans are making sound chioces..the "sleeping giant" has been awakened--Virginia, New Jersey, Massachusetts ,Utah and now  Kentucky have all proved that--If any on capitol hill are still not convinced--November is coming.                              CLEAN HOUSE 2010!!!!!

I wish it was a cruel April fools joke...but it is not. What was begun as a RAW DEAL on paper is now a BAD LAW on the books. In the first time...EVER in the history of this nation as a Constitutional Republic the federal government is "mandating" every American to buy something. WHERE is it in the constitution does it says the government can take away our right of free choice???This should alarm every freedom loving American to the core. It does not help the matter when we have a DIS-associated press that is still trying to sell this thing even when the stink of it gets more rotten each day!!I am reminded of the movie "The Flintstones" the dictabird tries to warn Fred about signing something without reading it. The result is disaster to the workforce of slate and company. How many Democrats read this 2000 plus monster before signing on to it??Not many if any. This massave mistake has to be repealed. It cannnot be "fixed" by admendments or band-aids. If this law takes its disasterous course the best health care system in the world will be history. I do believe that will only be the beginning. The "cap and trade" (crap and raid as I call it) bill is looming as well as the 'card check bill. Many Democrats are still gloating over their so called "victory". All that they have done  is to reveal to ALL America their true big government colors. We have seen it....and this coming November we will vote accordingly.

They're BAAAACK!!!It seems the party of Nancy Pelosi, Barack Obama, and Harry Reid are fully intending to ram this dangerous 2000 plus page raw deal down Americas throat. Does it matter that over 50% of Americans do not want "their" version of "reform"??or the fact that the Orwellian regulations and taxes further burdens our struggling ecomony??The American econony is (literally) at its breaking point and yet this Democrat controlled congress and white house sees fit to further expand with spending and taxes!!This monster they are still pushing is proof. Are the Democrats that delusional (or arrogant) to think that all of this government expansion spending and taxes do not carry consequences??I do believe that the word unsustainable has a meaning.  ENOUGH!! You would think the Dems would have taken the hint voters gave them in the elections of Virginia, New Jersey and Massechusetts. The Democrats own this bill-lock, stock, and taxation. It is a disaster and yet they are still pushing it on us. The GOP to their credit are holding the line in this-showing up with the huge bill at the "summit"meeting was brilliant. The bottom line here is direction. The Democrats are clear in the direction they would take us--big government with its control over our lives. It is clear what the American people want---just look at the rise of the TEA party rallies. If the Democrats have not gotten the message from the thumping they got already because of what they are doing...November in coming.   CLEAN house!! 2010!!!

The real test for Rebublicans this thursday is not the meeting with Barack Obama. It is the meeting among themselves. We all know at this point where Obama and "progressives" stand on government expansion. We need to really see the GOP...it is now backbone time. The victories in Virginia,New Jersey, and Massechusetts sent a very real message to "progressive" Washington. That message is WE the American people are not buying into the direction you are leading!!!If the good people of those states saw thru the junk being pushed on them by an already TOO BIG government It should not be hard for others to see it too. Yes, The victories were GOP victories but it was the INDEPENDENT thinking voters that carried the day!! Voices have been raised at TEA party rallies and Townhall meetings nation wide. The message is clear NO MORE BIG GOVERNMENT! ...For the most part it seems our voices have fallen on deaf ears.It is quite arrogant to snub the voices of voting Americans. Just ask the Democratic candidates from Virginia, New Jersey and Massechusetts.This Draconian "health care" bill needs to be scrapped and then start over from scratch. This thursday will be all about choices...not compromise.I do not know what will happen...we will see. There are still many in washington who are still thinking that the Independents are on the sidelines...to those who are thinking that way another reality check in coming....this November.        "clean" house!! 2010!!!

I do'nt know what was more funny this past Sunday: reading the comics or watching David Axelrod on meet the press. I was already rolling my eyes at his ravings about the Obama administration but when he said the GOP was "on the sidelines" I was no longer rolling my eyes...I  was rolling on the floor. GIVE me a break!!!on the sidelines??? PLEEEESE! The GOP and Independents  have been on the FRONTlines fighting your parties bad ideas from the GET-GO. To say they are "on the sidelines" shows not only ignorance of facts but denial of reality. The problem with such denial is the reality has a way of coming around and biting you on the BUTT. Do you need any examples Mr Axelrod? I can name three. They are as follows: Virginia, New Jersey and Massechusetts. It was the Independent voters in all three states that carried the day. Even after these elections it is more than clear to me that the additude of the Democratic party is one of indifference: Obamacare is still being pushed , spending is still out of controll, and this new budget does not help at all with NEW tax increases. In an earlier post I wrote that 2010 would be a "bumpy" ride--well, fasten your seat belts we have only begun. To all who are truly on the Frontlines fighting for this great country we live in it is time for high gear. To all who are thinking that we are on the sidelines---I would say just remember these three things-----Virginia, New Jersey , and Massechusetts...........on to November.   (hat tip 8th man)

It was bad enough that the Democrat party under Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi tried to create "Big Brother Inc"with the public option. What many in America still do not know about this bill is that their personal freedoms are still targeted. Within this bill is the indavidual mandate. This measure requires people to get health insurance or pay a financial penalty of at least 2 percent of their income to the GOVERNMENT. Yup, you have read correctly--buy or else!!! It does not matter is you are young and healthy. It also does not matter if you want insurance or not. My question is: since when does US the government dictate to WE the people???Now I own a car and I see the point of having insurance on that car--HOWEVER,what if I CHOOSE as a free American not to own a car???Why would I be forced to buy car insurance when I choose not to own a car??Not owning a car (if I choose) is my choice and my alternative. The health insurance mandate in this bill includes NO such alternative.There have been warnings about this bill sounded at TEA parties and townhall meetings nationwide. For the most part these warnings have fallen on deaf ears!!Now, this horrendous bill is about to become law-if so it will most probably be challenged to the Supreme court. The oppressive measures included in this bill cut to the heart of freedom in America---indavidual liberty. The constitution has a lot to say on that subject--I do believe. Hang on folks...2010 is gonna be a bumpy ride!!!!!

In 1994 "Hillarycare" was exposed as the massive government expansion plan that it was. Now, we have "Obamacare" that is much worse! It is more than 2000 pages of big government sponsored Raw Deal. All the proof you need to see has already been shown from cost(over 1 Trillion in ten years) To the massive taxes-to the fines and (in some cases) jail time if the huddled masses do not comply. I recommend everyone to go to heritage.org for more info. It is still hard for me to believe that still so many are pushing this thing and have not even read it. Senate leader Harry Reid says he is "confident" . OH Really???the last time I checked the public option is still the main bone of contention and I know of one Joe Leieberman (I-Conn) as well as Democrats Blanche Lincoln(D-Ark) and Ben Nelson(D-Neb) who have vowed not to vote yes to this thing if the public option is still in there. There are many who not only oppose the Big Government public option but the horrific costs as well. Does it make any sense in an economy already struggling so hard to attemp to break our backs even more with this??? I say NO!!! We all want REAL health care reform--there is no doupt about that. What America does not want (or need) is a bill that expands the government and further shrinks our economy.

Along with many Americans (and fellow Vets) I watched the moving tribute to our fallen HEROES at Ft Hood. I was OK with my emotions untill "amazing grace" and "taps". Today is Veterans day and as a US Navy veteran I am honored to have served to protect this great nation from all enimies both foreign and domestic. I will be attending several services today and I can guarantee you-here-now-that I will see many more faces like those I saw during the Ft Hood memorial.I saw faces that showed courage, resolve and faith!!!. The message is clear: Liberty and freedom will be defended agenst all those who intend to impose their despotic tyranny apon us!!!We are a nation that has been blessed with the God given blessings of Liberty. The founders of our constitutional republic knew this good and well even when faced by seemingly overwhelming odds. Every dispotic wannabe dictator who tried to put this nation under his boot got it rammed back up his "you know what". The spirit of LIBERTY burns inside every free American like a burning torch. I see another torch also--held up by a lovely lady in Nerw York harbor! God bless ALL of our brave HEROES in uniform and Yes, God bless AMERICA!!We are still the land of the FREE because of the BRAVE. Now, if you would excuse me I have an AMERICAN flag to put up.
