Veterans Day...in rememberance.

Along with many Americans (and fellow Vets) I watched the moving tribute to our fallen HEROES at Ft Hood. I was OK with my emotions untill "amazing grace" and "taps". Today is Veterans day and as a US Navy veteran I am honored to have served to protect this great nation from all enimies both foreign and domestic. I will be attending several services today and I can guarantee you-here-now-that I will see many more faces like those I saw during the Ft Hood memorial.I saw faces that showed courage, resolve and faith!!!. The message is clear: Liberty and freedom will be defended agenst all those who intend to impose their despotic tyranny apon us!!!We are a nation that has been blessed with the God given blessings of Liberty. The founders of our constitutional republic knew this good and well even when faced by seemingly overwhelming odds. Every dispotic wannabe dictator who tried to put this nation under his boot got it rammed back up his "you know what". The spirit of LIBERTY burns inside every free American like a burning torch. I see another torch also--held up by a lovely lady in Nerw York harbor! God bless ALL of our brave HEROES in uniform and Yes, God bless AMERICA!!We are still the land of the FREE because of the BRAVE. Now, if you would excuse me I have an AMERICAN flag to put up.

True Colors...Dierdre Scozzafava makes her choice

Why am I not sirprised that "Republican"Dierdre Scozzafava is now backing a Democrat??could it be that she never was a Republican in the first place? In the N.Y congressional race a rising conservative Doug Hoffman is running on principles....not politics. This is what scares so many in the "politically correct"world that dominates politics today. That someone like Hoffman would run on positions (like pro-life-pro true marriage-less government)conservative principles that the vast magority of Americans hold.  These positions the Republican party used to have--they won elections before because the American people believe in principle over politics. What has happened?? has the principles changed or the party??The last time I checked the solid rock conservative principles that have prospered our republic for over 200 years have not changed. The rock has not moved--it is as solid as ever!!Our founding fathers with firm faith in Divine providence set forth this nation and this nation STILL has what it takes to succeed--because the principles are still here.They do not belong to any political party but belong to those brave enough to embrace them. Doug Hoffman is proving that he is brave enough!!I hope the good people of New York see that too and vote. We already know the choice of Dierde Scozzafava. It is time to make choices and that time is now!Not only in New York but in Virginia and New Jersey as well .I agree with what Ronald Reagan said " there is no right wing or left wing-it is ether up or down" well said.

"consumer option"?? NOT buying it.

Can something change just because you call it a different name? It seems that is what House speaker Nancy Pelosi is tring to do with the government run public option. She has a brand new name to call this thing--it is now the "consumer" option.The trouble is with that you can call a apple an orange all day long but does it make it an orange?? We all know the true answer to that question. So why should anyone believe that the public option is something different just because of the name "consumer " option.?? Give me a break!!!It is almost laughable when you think about it but what is happening is NOT  funny at all. What is being pushed on us by an already TOO BIG government  is a huge Big Brother expansion for more, and more government control with less, and less of our personal liberty-that is the truth.. Make no mistake about this- the battle lines are being drawn. Joe Lieberman has now made it clear he will back a Republican  fillibuster  and Olympia Snowe has drawn the line about the BIG BROTHER option as well...We will see what they will do.The good news is that info exposing this charade has been preached ( I recommend Chuck Norris excellant article on this-dirty little secrets of obamacare)and Smart Americans can see right thru this "consumer" option label. So they can call this thing "consumer"option all they want to-it does not change the fact that the federal government will have more control over the privite sector and also our lives. That I know Americans do not want to buy--not now--not ever!!

Does the will of the American people mean anything anymore?? Thru Townhall meetings, TEA Partys, and practically every poll made the American people have made their will known: We do NOT want big government run heath care!--AKA-the public option. Yet, even as I type this post Democrat Harry Reid and others are still trying to ram the public option in the final version of the heath care bill. This is not what reps of a free people do--BUT it is presicely what dictators who impose their own will on the people do!!Is it any wonder that so many do not trust their reps anymore? Is this the message some in congress sending--WE will do what WE want and to H__ with the American people??I have a message of my own: it is STILL WE the people who govern this nation--it is not nor will ever be US the party!!If real health care reform is the motovation for many in congress then why do they not look  into the Patients Choice Act of 2009? This plan puts choices with the people and does not raise taxes OR creates big brother. It will be very interesting to see what happens--as for as the will of the American people go we have known that for some time!

What future will he have??

First the good news...I reciently became a great uncle...again!! My sister "the grandma" could not be happier. She just loves being a grandma and quite frankly, I am glowing in my new duty also. However, overshadowing all of this is the mess currently happening on capitol hill. This past monday the senate finance committee voted (among them Olympia Snowe--democrat in training) to futher the downward spirial this nation is taking toward economic oblivion. Is it too hard to figure out that spending and taxes do not make good economic recovery??Sean Hannity had a excellent show on this just a few days ago. I recommend everyone to read Glenn Beck's book "common sense" it is eye opening.. Practacally every economic expert that has looked at what is proposed in congress and has concluded that the cost of this monster  is just too great for our economy to handle. What part of the word "unsustainable"do they not understand???Proponents of this plan conter with statements like "we will tax the rich" OH REALLY??and what will happen to the jobs???Did not a "stimulus" bill  was passed earlier this year? Where are the jobs from that??? When I think of what is happening to our great nation--things that effect the future of my new great nephew--it motovates these blogging fingers. There is a VOTERS REVOLUTION brewing  because we the PEOPLE have had enough.WE DO NOT want government run health care!!! WE want real health care reform--not the back door for BIG BROTHER!!I know the fight on capitol hill on the health care issue will be big but that is nothing compaired to what the American people are going to do in the coming election years. The gloves are coming off---the fight is ON! The future for all of us is at stake.

Joe Wilson showed great courage and more backbone than many in congress when he called out "you lie"!!!This bill currently before congress is a 1000 page monster that does-in fact-incude illegals. Many in congress may argue that"the time for bickering " is done BUT NOT if there is a raw deal being pushed on the American people!!This bill IS a RAW DEAL!! The numbers from the congressional budget office alone tell us enough AND The American PEOPLE have voiced their opposition to Socialised heath care in the townhalls. Sooo What is it to be congress??

The truth: Obamacare is Government run-Government rules.

To more fully understand the looming disaster before us in Obamacare we must look at what ALMOST happened earlier...with Hillarycare. Like Hillarycare Obamacare is indeed a govrnment run system along with all the government run rules to play. If you broke your arm you would have to see "their " doctor under the govenments plan- Hillarycare called the shots--literally. A very good article that spells it out better is : "No Exit: What the Clinton plan will do for you" written by Elizabeth McCughey. Now we we have another government run plan rearing its ugly head. Under Obamacare it is STILL a government run system under government run rules no matter what the promoters of it say!! These are key facts that the promoters of Obamacre are just not telling us. If you do not play by "their" rules ---you are out. Just imagine appearing before a government "Panel' with your elderly parents or grandparents and having to "prove" based on their "productivity in society" that they are "worthy" to get health care. I believe Sarah Palin knows what she is talking about and I do not see anyone on the left successfully refuting her facts!! This is indeed a government run system that can certainly lead us at the mercy of "Big Brother" government making medical decisions(not your doctor) in the future. I saw at a townhall meeting a doctor who was agenst this plan-he was from Canada and he said he has to send patents here for treatment because of the backlog of canadas government run system. I heard a caller on a talk show(also from canada) that said if she did not come down here in the US for treatment she would be dead because of the wait in the government run system in canada.Do we want the government to be in charge of our medical decisions??or our lives?? What will we have for our future?? will it still be a free America run by "WE THE PEOPLE" or a "Big Brother" socitety run by "BIG"  government?? We have time to decide--it is not too late.....YET.

Obamacare: A new name for an old game.

Please take a number...we are currently serving number 3 and you have 3 million that are before you.If you die before you are treated...well... it will save the government money...thank you for your sacrifice..Does this sound far fetched? Not for Obamacare. In the early 90s it was called Hillarycare and now we are facing Obamacare--hillarycare on steroids. The wait for care was just one of the truth torpedoes that sunk this sham in the early 90s and another was that Americans would not have any choice of doctors in the matter. In other words the only choice would be the choice the "almighty" government MADE for you. In Canada, Cuba, and England how many are still waiting--for months to get treatment from the government run system?? We in America have THE BEST health care in the WORLD!!! people from all over this planet come here because we have what it takes--and we did it as FREE Americans in a FREE enterprise capitalist DEMOCRACY!!!!!make no mistake here-the horrible conditions of Walter Reed was nothing to what will happen to this country with this plan--let alone the cost--OH yeah-tax the rich---yeah right. The Government just gets bigger and the burden to support it is dumped on us--it is the old game of US the government--not WE the people. In the words of the Congressional Budget Office--it is "unsustainable".In the words of this blogger it is intolorable!!!

contrary to the pep talk given by the honorable house speaker the cap and trade ligislation is not about jobs,jobs,jobs,and jobs. This taxation monster is about taxes,taxes,taxes,and MORE taxes!! This legislation was rushed thru so quickly many did not read this thing at all.To get some votes from the farm states the tax on farmers because of cow emissions was cut out....YUP..a tax on cow emissions. This tells you right away where some brains are in thinking of this stuff..it smells. It seems that nothing is not taxable to Democrats who continue to expand the government at our expense. Because of the taxes on emissions the oil companies will have to import more oil..how will this legislation help decrease our dependance??Hey...please do not get me wrong.I am all for other sources of power. This country was built on creative capitalists who used their God given abilities. It was not built by taxation so huge it kills jobs!I do not know what will happen in the senate..I just hope some will READ this thing and say..not so fast!!

Ed McMahon...you will be missed.

I remember during the 70s I could not get enough of "the tonight show".  Who could forget that intro? "Heeeeeere's Johnny"!!! Ed McMahon who sadlly, passed away on tuesday may have been billed as second banana in "the tonight show" but he was a star in his own right. A combat Marine and Patriot he loved America and wanted everyone to succeed. He was much more than a TV personality-he was a driving force in creativeness and a true TV pioneer. He worked as a clown,announcer and on his show "star search" he launched the country group "Sawer Brown" as well as many others  who did very well in show buisness. He was very versitile. He did publishing commercials on TV as well as appeared with Jerry Lewis on his MDA telethons. I remember watching one telethon  when the counting board malfunctioned.McMahon walked over to the board and gave it a tap. The audience exploded in appause as the numbers of donations were displayed. Thank you Ed McMahon for being the unique gift you were and touching all of our lives....Marine rest well...Semper Fi.

Ronald Reagan-back in Washington!!

Last week a bronze statue of "the gipper" was unvieled in the US Capitol Rotunda. Nancy Reagan said it was a "wonderful likeness of Ronnie". A blue cloth cover was pulled from the 7-foot statue as a large crowd looked on in the Capitol Rotunda. Ronald Reagan was much more than the 40th President of our country. He believed in what truly brought hope, prosparity and was not afraid to tell it!! Trust in God, working principles of indavidual effort, and using our God given abilities were his bedrock foundation. It is not only the statue,but the principles of what works are returning as well. People are fed up with the "big"government that promises much but delivers very little.  It was Reagan who said that he believed there was "no limits to what Americans can do!! "Notice he did not say there was "no limits to what Americans can do with the governments help"!!Principles that work are not political--they work for ANYONE who has the guts and drive to put them into practice. God has given each and everyone of us abilities and gifts. These are as unique to us as our fingerprints.When we as INDAVIDUALS take the courage to launch ourselves by faith into an endeavor -truly amazing things can happen!!I believe in America. I believe we still have "the right stuff" inside us to get our country back on the right path. Ronald Reagan may be gone but what he believed in is alive and well.!!

Free...because of the BRAVE!!!

In 1981 I got to visit Arlington National cemetary for the first time. I was new in the Navy--pretty cocky--and I had a LOT  to learn. I got an education that day I never forgot. As I saw those rows of white crosses and read words on the  memorials I broke down and cryed. The tears were flowing,my head was bowed, and I kept on saying: "dear God...dearGod "  My fellow bloggers and America we have so much to be thankful for this Memorial day!.We are truly a free nation ..but only because of the brave that fought to keep it that way!!!Even as I write this post there are many who are looking at America in differant ways. There are those who see our freedoms with HOPE and there are those who look at our freedoms with utter distain. The lessons of 9/11 prove beyond any doupt that we are still living in a world that liberty is under constant attack. There is another constant too-I see a lady in New York harbor that is carring a torch---THAT TORCH STILL SHINES!!Liberty is still being defended by the brave to make sure this nation is still home of the FREE!!After I returned to my base that day  I visited Arlington  my bus passed by our American flag--I saluted , took a deep breath, and said a thanksgiving prayer.

OK   OK!!! This is IT!! I want to thank the many wonderful freedom bloggers here at townhall for the encouragement to start my own blog. THIS is IT!! As many of you can testify by my comments on several posts here I pull out ALL the stops!! I do not hold back when it comes to the bedrock conservitive principles that our great nation needs so despertly to come back to.  I am also VERY ready to write  to stand for those principles and if that is "politically incorrect" SO BE IT!!!It is STILL we the people who run this country--2010 and 2012 will be here before we know it. SO let'ts GET BUSY!!!  WRITE!! SPEAK and TOGETHER we can GRRRRRRRR! Take a BITE out of liberalism!!!    ROCK ON!!
